IB History is an introductory subject that is offered at two levels: Higher (HL) and Standard (SL). The History curriculum includes an in-depth study of the prescribed subject as well as a choice of two topics. Students can opt to learn about major events in history, or they can learn about major events in twentieth-century world history. HL students can choose from a variety of alternate syllabi to cover a broader time-period and increase depth and breadth.
